Blogging has afforded me the opportunity to create, write and wax (often irreverently) on things I have found interesting on a personal level, namely photography, music, and bad movies.

The JohnSwinc.com PhotoBlog was created using PixelPost software, and is as a way to share digital images in a format that is clean and elegant with a simple user interface. TheFiver was created to experiment with web editing software such as WordPress, online commerce, and the use of multimedia tools and the enhancement of my photo illustration skills.  While Bed Time Movies is on a simpler Blogger platform, it continues to provide opportunities to hone my online writing and aforementioned photo illustration skills.

For two years I was the Web Editor for the Journal Tribune. In that position, I was able to utilize programs such as Adobe GoLive and Dreamweaver, basic HTML. I was also able to develop graphic design and photo illustration skills, using Adobe Photoshop.
